As a chef, one of the most daunting things for both you and me is when your dinner hosts dont know you are a chef. A relaxed evening and me looking forward to eating anything I didnt have to prepare myself, suddenly turns into a food roulette. One of two things happen, they gasp and say 'Oh noooo, now my food will be judged and you will hateeverything!' Or, they turn into Expert chef and expose you to a thousand roast beef recipes eagerly watching you and suddenly you are too scared to even lift an eyebrow in case they see it as criticism. Does it sound like Im complaining? Im not, I really just want to eat. As a lover of food and new experiences, I will automatically love your dish if I can taste the passion. Enthusiasm and joy will seep directly from your hands into your ingredients, so if you brought those to the table, you can be sure that I will dig in.
